Math Matters
formed in 2005, offering mathematics tutoring to students throughout the state of Texas. Since it was founded, it has provided countless students with helpful instruction in all areas of math, from algebra to geometry.
The founder, Lucinda Mackinnon (Ms. Mack), has a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois, and did graduate work in Mathematics at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She is a certified teacher of mathematics in Texas and Illinois, and has more than 20 years of experience as a math teacher in Texas public schools. In addition, she has over ten years of experience in private tutoring for public, private, and home school students throughout the state. In July 2013, Ms. Mack received the Best of Denton County Math Tutoring Services award, given by Denton County, for her excellence in tutoring. Currently, she resides in Lewisville, Texas, with her husband, 3 cats, and 2 dogs.
